Default Is Palin Qualified to be President?

At 72, McCain has a 15% chance of dying during his first term of office and a 33% chance of dying before finishing 2 presidential terms (Politico.com). Therefore, there is a very high chance that if elected, Palin would be president of the USA. Is Palin qualified for this job?

If George W Bush is qualified to be president then Palin is overqualified.

Is she qualified? Yes, she meets the Constitutional requirements to be president. Would she be a good president? No, but then neither will McCain or Obama.

There is a difference between being qualified and being competent.

As an insufferable-self-rigthous-vancant-suite Afro American Obama has a 50% chance of dying in office, so should Ego Joe be President?

You seem to be confused on two points here.

1. Palin is not running for President. If you don't know who is running for which office you shouldn't vote.

2. The only qualifications that you need are:

a. Born in the USA
b. Lived in USA for fourteen years
c. Be 35 years old

So yes, she is qualified. Maybe you meant to ask if she has enough experience to be president if something happens to McCain? To answer that question I would say that she has as much if not more experience than Obama and the stuck on stupid ticket.

Palin isn't qualified to be VP, let alone President.

Palin is not qualified IMO due to her lack of knowledge of the issues and lack of any meaningful experience with foreign affairs. She has demonstrated these deficiencies a number of times - too many for me to ignore.

{Before it even starts - I don't give a rip how long she has been in office or what private sector experience she has - sometimes people just don't seem to learn much from their experiences. Palin clearly does not understand basic economic concepts and the rudiments of health care delivery systems. She has very little knowledge or understanding of the US's multiple complex global relationships. You may not agree with Obama's ideas, but he has absolutely demonstrated a deeper and more comprehensive grasp of the basic knowledge necessary to be president)

I love how you just throw random statements out there with no argument behind or intelligent thought put into what you say.

I think that can be debated as well. However, if you look at him when he started he was an aweful canddiate. He has had two years of coaching. A monkey could intelligent with two years of practicing smooth speeches and learning from mistake after mistake. By the way did he show a basic grasp of knowledge necessary to be president when he told us to inflate our tires to make up for lack of drilling? What about when he said Iran was a tiny country and not a threat?
