Hopefully we'll be more suspicious this time and reject the Republicans and the politics of fear.
As to your argument that McCain is not Bush. Yes he is. If McCain is elected he'll have the same trickle down economic philosophy as Bush and the same war is always the answer foreign policy.
As for Ms. Palin, she's even more like Bush than McCain is.

So, I want to understand where you're coming from...
Because Bush supported the CRA's efforts to increase home ownership by minorities in 2002 (which I don't agree with) he is responsible for the subprime mortgage fiasco? What about Carter who initiated the CRA, and Clinton who pushed for fewer restrictions on loans, making Fannie and Freddie GSE's? What about the democrats in congress ignoring the warnings about Fannie and Freedie by the Republicans between 2004 and as late as May 2008? Are they not responsible? It's all "Bush and the Republicans"?
So, Bush lied about 9-11 and Iraq? Are you suggesting that Bush created the false intelligence reports by the CIA himself... and nobody caught him doing it? If he was able to "create" such a lengthy report, convincing the democrats and republicans alike that one and a half years of negotiations and diplomacy with Saddam was enough and it was time to take the war to Iraq... maybe he isn't so dumb after all!
