Not really. There are people on both sides switching sides for this election. I think most people who will not vote for Bush wish there was a more compelling candidate than Kerry, but then I think a lot of people are going to hold their noses while voting for Bush, too.

To me, the case for replacing Bush is simply too compelling to entertain coulda, shoulda qualms about Kerry. Kerry will do fine as president; Bush has been a disaster. He has to go, period.

That is your opinion and you are entitled to it...

My opinion is that many more liberals than you want to accept are going to vote for Bush and not as many conservatives as you expect will vote for Kerry....

I would bet that Kerry has the vote of mothers with boys age 16-25 right now.

I also heard a military strategist say that Bush might allow more kids with GEDs to enlist to get away from a draft.

Why not just pay more?

I have two boys in that age group. My sister has two boys in that age group. That's 5 votes for Bush. (One of my sons is only 17).



Your military strategist apparently is not paying attention. In fact, the Army has tightened up it's rules on who they will let re-up. If they were desperate, they would not be so choosy, would they?

Some days it seems as if it will all come down to Florida again.

On the whole though, I believe that it will come down to voter turnout in swing states. I can't say who's more energized.
