There is no doubt that Obama is the best candidate ever. He's been marketed better than any product I've ever seen. Trouble is, there's only the tinyiest overlap between being the best candidate and being even a decent President. The skill set is different.

Obama is telling you just what you need to hear in order to secure your vote. But you really have no idea what you're going to get. He's moved toward the center in policy position on many issues and I guarantee you he has not actually changed his ideology, just his sales pitch. And America is buying. Dupes.

Sarah Palin's performance in the debate fulfilled to stategy of the Republican Party literally to the tee in addressing the voters they were targeting. They hoped to appeal to voters that are not interested in the facts or the impact of specific policies or, more directly stated, the uninformed voters that vote based upon their emotions.

To highlight the debate Biden made the statement that McCain, while trying to distance himself from the Bush adminstration had not offered a single policy that contracticted the Bush adminstrations policies. To this Palin remained completely mum not denying it on even one count. The same mindless idiots that have supported Bush are the same mindless idiots that the Republicans want to vote for the McCain/Palin ticket. I believe that she was highly successful in appealing to those voters.

Unfortunately for voters that don't want four more years of Bush politics she failed to provide even one case where McCain would differ from Bush which is what she would have had to do for McCain to get elected.

Exactly. That's why I think many people who watched the debate "closely" will argue that Biden won the debate. His objective was to make out McCain to be another Bush which he successfully did since Sarah Palin did not successfully defend that. Palin's objective was really just to hold her own so she doesn't end up becoming the "village idiot". I think she did a good job at that.

Sarah Palins peformance in the VP debate is measured by how much damage she didn't do to the Republician ticket. Lowering the bar for her is not a good measure stick for her ability to be VP. The VP position is not for "on-the-job-training". Thats a bad choice indicator for McCain and his poor reasoning to select Palin for his running mate. It was ill precieved that he pick Palun just to garnish the "womans" vote. Even that seems to have backfired. Yet another measure of McCains bad judjement.
