Default Can you really judge Sarah Palin by her performance at the VP debate?

I think Sarah Palin did a good job last night after being "coached" for weeks on what to say, but I don't think it's fair to say that she's ready to lead this country all because she was able to "memorize" a few lines and "act" them out. You have to remember that this is a VERY SERIOUS job that she's taking on and if anything happens to McCain she's going to be our president. I also don't care about what's she's "supposedly" accomplished in Alaska because that doesn't give me a solid answer on who she is. Prior to this debate she was a complete goof ball who gave the dumbest answers to common sense questions. It seems that when things are "unscripted" she doesn't seem like the smartest person on the block. Obama has been "consistent" throughout this entire election in his interviews, rallies, and first debate. Sarah Palin and John McCain have not been. It seems that one day everybody thinks they're qualified and the next day you don't. I honestly think it's too much of a risk to put two candidates in office with "flip-flopping" personalities.

P.S. Sarah Palin's "folksy" style made here sound a lot like George Bush. If I'm correct doesn't he use the term "folks" quite often in his speeches? If she referred to the terrorists as "evil doers" I think everybody would've caught on to that.

She did get into a little Bushism when she went on her "they hate our freedoms" rant about terrorists. They don't hate your freedoms bimbo, they hate the fact you're bombing their asses off.

Just so. It's so serious no President would even consider oral sex in the oval office.

Dream on buddy! Either you're loyal to the Republicans or have a blindfold pulled over your eyes. I'm no supporter of either party and only vote for who I think is the best candidates. All I see in Sarah Palin and John McCain is "Bush". I'm hoping that there's enough Americans out there with good judgment because if there isn't then this country has definitely not seen its worst days. It's funny how all of you McCain supporters seem to think George Bush is the worst president ever yet you support somebody who thinks just like him. If you don't think McCain isn't another Bush wannabe then why don't you guys answer WHY YOU BELIEVE HE ISN'T!!!???? I honestly don't think you can. Is it because you chose to vote Republican on your voter registration and now you believe you need to remain loyal to your Republican candidates even if they're the wrong choice??? I don't get how you people think.

I listened last night and found her very charming, quick and witty, too. She will appeal to the common folk, who can identify with her.

Should she get into the VP position, she will be well advised, guided, and coached. Look at Bush junior.... does anyone believe he is the mover and shaker, the brain of the administration? No way!! That's what they got their think tanks for, their advisors, their policy makers!

Thats to bad because McCain is not Bush and Obama is not a president.
Bush is not the worst president we have ever had. Actually up until about 18 months ago Bush and the republicans were doing just fine. Then the democrats took over and screwed everything up.

So basically what you're saying is that we should have somebody in office that's so unfit that they have to rely entirely on advisers to do all their thinking?

And really, the reason they attacked us, according to them, is because we started a war on holy land... Which is something Palin should know...

You could easily substitute the name George Bush for Sarah Palin in your post and it would be equally true.
