Default Palin keeps inciting crowds

Fanning the flames:
http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn...100602935.html

Quote:
Worse, Palin's routine attacks on the media have begun to spill into ugliness. In Clearwater, arriving reporters were greeted with shouts and taunts by the crowd of about 3,000. Palin then went on to blame Katie Couric's questions for her "less-than-successful interview with kinda mainstream media." At that, Palin supporters turned on reporters in the press area, waving thunder sticks and shouting abuse. Others hurled obscenities at a camera crew. One Palin supporter shouted a racial epithet at an African American sound man for a network and told him, "Sit down, boy."
And more evidence that Palin has a tin ear for her audience, and not much idea what to do when her applause lines fail:

Quote:
Of course, Obama never promised to cut taxes for people at $10,000-a-plate lunches in air-conditioned tents on waterfront compounds. And the crowd -- among them New York Jets owner Woody Johnson -- reacted without applause to Palin's Joe Six-Pack lines. After they didn't strike up the usual "Drill, baby, drill" or "USA" chants, Palin, rattled, read hurriedly through the rest of her speech.
She and McCain have people at their rallies threatening the media, calling Obama a "terrorist" and suggesting that either Obama or Ayers be killed.

Stoking that kind of hatred is grossly irresponsible.

This reminds me of a witch hunt instead of a race for the white house. I guess its ok to incite hate and intimidate reporters. McCain is playing with fire, and its going to all fall back on him.

Not to mention a losing strategy. Even my "cracker" brother-in-law is coming around and may vote for Obama.

I think that unleashing her was a good idea. Apparently, those stories of her extremist attitudes and her hunger for petty vendettas and political revenge up in Alaska are accurate, and she is starting to show her real self.
But she is such an arrogant fool and so full of self-serving hubris that her outbursts are starting to backfire.
People are starting to see an ugly person with poor judgement and a nasty character.
I would advise Obama to continue taking a high road and resist trading insults with the republicans.
There's a saying that applies here:
Never argue with an idiot. They'll only bring you down to their level then beat you with experience.
It's best to keep this toxic woman at arms length and not engage her in a tit for tat.
People are already seeing her for what she really is.

I'd agree but that tacit didn't work for Kerry. Obama needs to answer the allegations, if only briefly, then get back to the real issues.

I'm sorry, but if I were on her press corp and getting taunted, I'd quit. That's rediculous, and shameful. If McCain doens't step up and put an end to this, something could very well happen that isn't pretty. I don't know if these candidates realize how emotional some of these people can get.

She is a despicable person. I know a lot of righties don't like Obama. Fine. Vote for a third candidate or a write in. This lady does not deserve to be in any office in this whole country. What a terrible person and McCain as well for putting up with this crap. In fact, it appears he is doing the same as she is. It's like this huge mob mentality. Let's get pitchforks and torches and burn down the Obama campaign! Sick ass violent (*)(*)(*)(*).

I see no righties defending this. Nice.
