Default email from georgewbush.com

this is what they sent to me (I gave money to a local Republican candidate and they put me on Karl Rove's email list!!!)
:

<<<<For the last four months, we have had the honor to travel around the country, spreading our Dad's message and the experience has been so rewarding. We have met so many great people - from students to busy moms to military families. We have really had so much fun being on the campaign trail.

As you'll see in this video, our dad has a lot of fun too. He's really down-to-earth and he has a great sense of humor. And that definitely comes in handy when you're running for President. We hope you'll enjoy this behind-the-scenes look at the campaign. And we encourage you to pass this on to five other people who'd like to see our dad in some unscripted moments.

This election is going to be really close, which means that a lot will depend on how many people actually get out and vote. Thank you so much for your interest in the campaign. Please make sure you vote on November 2nd, and please vote to re-elect our dad, George W. Bush.

Default .

I have been receiving daily emails from democrats.org begging for money. Here is part of todays email which is signed by Kerry:

Quote:
You and I began this campaign pledging to meet every challenge and overcome every obstacle on our way to victory on November 2. I leave it to you to judge whether I have lived up to my end of that bargain. But I am sure about this -- you have lived up to yours.

As you know, our deadline to fund critical get-out-the-vote operations is tonight at midnight. That is the last point -- just hours away -- at which you can make an online contribution that can be spent by Election Day. Believe me, if I did not think it could make the difference between winning and losing, I would not be turning to you one final time.

Please contribute to the Democratic Party before tonight's final deadline:
I have no idea how I got on their list. It's a shame they don't have to pay anything to send this crap out.

Default People are getting paid for what we do here?

WHAT A FRIGGING RIP OFF!!! I have yet to receive my check.

I do, however, get daily e-mail blasts from the Kerry/Edwards campaign because I donated a substantial amount to John Edwards' presidential campaign.

I don't post them here, though. They're goofy.

I get them, too, from every Democratic source imaginable, courtesy of my whopping $200 donation to the Kerry campaign. I know they have to do it, but it's still annoying. I delete them unread.

Default Yup.

Sounds familiar.

And I thought I donated alot. You humble me, Ray. I only donated $150. And I didn't even get John's 4 trials book.

Default Well....

... technically it was $100 from me, $100 from my wife. But it's a joint checking account.

It's the first time I've ever donated anything but moral support to a political campaign, and it may well be the last. I just don't have the stomach for life deep inside a party, whatever its stripe. Echo chambers are confining.

Default I probably would have been very much behind an Edwards

presidency, but when he changed his message to conform to Kerry, he lost my support.

That was the first time, in years (about 15 at my best recollection) that I've donated to a political candidate, there was just something I liked about Edwards...but I don't like Kerry, and I won't vote for him.

Default Understood

I was an Edwards guy, too; voted for him in the primary, even though by then Kerry pretty much had it in the bag.

But my primary motivation, as you know, is that Bush needs to go, even if we replace him with a three-legged goat. It was good to see Kerry pick Edwards as veep, but that didn't get me on the Kerry bandwagon. Bush put me on the Kerry bandwagon.

Edwards, BTW, is just doing what all VP candidates do: carrying water for the top of the ticket. I have more hope for what he might effect within a Kerry White House. Although again, that's not a deciding factor in my vote.
