This morning on the tram on my way to the city center at one stop a poster caught my eye. There was George W. Bush, with the text, in English, saying "-President Bush- Building A Safer World And A More Hopeful America." Needless to say, I was astonished. I just managed to notice a URL on the bottom of the poster: www.varjovaalit.com (Shadow Elections)

Anyway, after I got home, this was just nagging me too much. So off I go to visit this varjovaalit and see what's it all about.

It's a page to see who would win the election, if the Finns could decide. Not surprisingly, Kerry is winning by a *healthy* majority. Regardless, odd, very odd.

(The point of the whole thing is apparently to actually increase Finnish voting percentages in our own local elections)
