Come Tuesday we're not just voting for the netx president, we're voting for the senate, house, and a million state and local politicians. Just reminding everyone.

I cant imagine another 4 years of Rumsfeld, Asscroft, and Cheney. Theyre going to keep poking the bees nest until all the bees get pissed off and do everything they can to destroy us. Do you think Al Qaeda is actually using all of its resources? Hell no. If a group of people want to blow up things bad enough, there is not much you can do to stop them, short of encasing the United States in a giant steel box and separating all people into cubicles.

If they wanted to, all they would have to do would be cross the Mexican border, catch a ride to a major city, and blow something up. The only thing stopping them? Motivation. If we give them anymore reasons to kill us, they will use all of their force. Its a pretty simple concept.

Don't you get it? They already are doing all they can to destroy us. We've already siezed many of their assets, arrested 3/4 of their leadership we knew about, and in his last video statement this week bin Laden confirms this. Their ability to do things to us is diminished. Should we stop now? Hell no. Okay now you're being silly. The best prevention is to stay on the offensive. We are making headway in intelligence aspects, and we're making headway in their back yard. No amount of money or fortification could prevent attacks if we go on the defensive.
It's a little more complicated than that, but yeah it's not an impossible task to do if you're a determined foe. We need to be more watchful, more diligent, and head the trouble off at the source... back in the middle east. The use of intelligence to find them and interrogate them will reveal more info to work on to continue to wrap them up and get them.

The fact that we've not had an attack on our soil in 4 years is great, but it's no guarantee that it won't happen again. Even the best success in this War On Terror will never insure total success. This is going to prove to be a long, drawn out war that will outlast a few presidents. Regardless of who wins this election, whoever is in charge had better be someone who is focused on protecting us by going after them.

You forgot the most important entity that we are voting for: the US Supreme Court. It looks like, at least, Rehnquist, O'Connor, and Ginsberg will be retiring. I am a little worried about who Kerry would appoint, but Bush is a religious zealot who believes that God talks to him and that we are in the End Times. The choices he could make are frightening.
