Default Regardless of your party affiliation, this is a great story.

come to this country with almost nothing, and through their own excellence of character and work ethic, someday be elected a Senator...

Some people say the system is irreparably broken, that only the elite can actually get elected to public office, but I say they're mistaken.

Default Gawd, it really is becoming a big lovefest around here...

isn't it?

But I do find the Obama story quite inspiring, nonetheless.

Default I liked his DNC speech

He was one of the few, I hope his actions match his words, but if they do I think he has a bright future. The democrat party does have some good people in it (Lieberman, Evan Bayh, etc), and I think Obama could be one of the best they have.

there is no "mostly unique;" thats like saying "sometimes always," its an oxymoron - its either one or the other.

The result:

By the mid-19th century unique had developed a wider meaning, “not typical, unusual,” and it is in this wider sense that it is compared. The comparison of so-called absolutes in senses that are not absolute is standard in all varieties of speech and writing.
