Daunting. And I see that already this morning----in less than 1 day----this fact is appearing in the headlines.

I hope for the nation's sake that he has more support than Bush had from DAY One of his administration. He was NEVER given a chance. I hope for the nation's sake that he doesn't have the media and an entire group of people working to bring him down---as they did to Bush. We'll see if he gets more fairness in his treatment. I'm sure that he will since he has a liberal msm rooting for him.

Care to remind us what Bush's approval rating was in October of 2001? Care to remind us of the vote on the the "Patriot Act" or the invasion of Iraq?

Yeah. Bad change! Have fun paying 28% on all home tax, 40% capital gains tax, and helping people who bought houses to big, took out loans that they couldnt pay off. Why should we help people who were stupid and took out huge loans and now cant pay them off? I guess there are 62,605,967 idiots out there.

Thats interesting you say that. McCain has a record of consistently reaching across the isle and Obama does not. Why do you think he'll suddenly change his course now?

Others are saying they are going to report their guns "stolen" and hide them from the jackbooted thugs that their paranoid fantasies create for them.

It Wasn't Even Close!!!

349-162 with a few states left to be decided.

Popular vote, 52-46

I hope this will be taken as proof that in a time of crisis, Americans want someone who will INSPIRE them... not FRIGHTEN them about the other candidate. This is borne out by exit polling that shows the flood of "Rev. Wright" commercials over the last couple days HARMED McCain, not Obama.

I hope this means the voices of those who offer no solutions, but only bickering and divisiveness WILL be relegated to a dark corner of obscurity, while Democrats, Republicans and Independents come together -- in the spirit of unity they displayed at the polls yesterday -- to solve America's problems.

We were given a choice yesterday. We chose unity over division. We chose solutions over scare tactics.

We chose the 44th President of the United States of America.
You got that part wrong. We chose the 1st Premier of the United States. Come on, you have to call an apple an apple.

McCain used to reach across the aisle. I haven't seen that much lately. If he would have separated himself from Bush a bit more from I might agree. His voting record speaks for itself.

Congrats to Obama. Along with "Change" for America, I hope he plans to "change" the affirmative action laws, that have unfairly penalized qualified individuals from opportunities in the "workplace" and "educational institutions". Obama's election, has proved that these obsolete laws are no longer necessary.

Thats going back a bit, but I can tell you what the Democrat congress approval ratings were for the month of october. They range from 12%-23% approval.
Thats pathetic, 70-80ish percent of Americans feel this Congress is worthless. Yet...the American majority figures voting in more of the same across the board was a good idea.

For arguments sake George bush during this same timeframe is ranging from 20%-31%.

Enjoy the honeymoon America, it wont take more than the first year of Obamerica for you to realize you handed the reigns to a hollow promise...yet again.
