Default Wrapping up old myths from the recent election

http://www.boston.com/news/nation/ar..._failed_dream/

This article addresses some campaign myths that many of us argued about on these boards:

1) Despite the claims of some on this board, Kerry's first choice as VP WAS McCain.
2) The Swift Boat Vets was not something that arose from the mind of Karl Rove. It was John O'Neills idea dating back to his confrontation with Kerry in the 70's. He was provided the original funding and solicited the additional funding which provided for future commercials.
3) Bill Clinton didn't join the Kerry campaign in order to sabotage it for his wife's future election. In fact it was his sound advice that appeared to give Kerry his footing after what many termed a disappointing DNC.
4) Even Kerry's aides didn't understand his position on Iraq
5) Kerry's church appearances and hunting trips were PR events set up by his campaign.
6) Even Kerry said after the debate that it was a mistake to make mention of Cheney's lesbian daughter.

Default It truly backfired on him

I'll bet kerry only admitted it was a mistake to mention during the debate that Cheney's daughter was a lesbian....ONLY after the polls and media showed him it was a mistake. When you've got even the liberal media gasping out loud as he said it.....you know it was a huge mistake. It seemed contrived, mean and it backfired on him big time. It just doesn't pay to bring people's kids into a political debate to score points. People see that as "below the belt" kind of politics.

Default Heard a rumor...

...that psychotharapists in some of North Carolina's 'blue counties' are doing a thriving business, treating erstwhile Kerry supporters for various emotional and psychological maladies.

So sad that I haven't had the urge to call my ultra-liberal sister in our home state of California, with my usual, "Hi, how's everything in the Peoples Republic of California, out there on the Left Coast?" How do you like your new governor?

I still haven't figured out exactly who "neo-con" would be referring too.

And it's so not worth getting mad over anymore. The Idiot Son won, the world is now officially in the handbasket en route to hell. So why not kick back, climb some trees, and raise a toast. We're already (*)(*)(*)(*)ed.

/nilhilist phase.

P.s. - what is dbg?
