U.S Marines are not to shot wounded enemy fighters. However, over the week we have been bombarded with a new video, showing a U.S marine shooting a wounded enemy fighter? However, once the video tape was played in it's entirety. We notice that the marine stated twice that this enemy fighter was "faking" being dead? There were also other wounded enemy fighters in this mosque that were not shot.

However, it is U.S. policy if an enemy fighter is faking death, they may be ready to spring a grenade or other explosive killing coalition troops. In this instance, they are allowed to shoot the enemy fighter.

I was shocked to hear Colmbes, a liberal, state tonight on Hannity & Colmbes on Fox News station. That he was in support of this U.S. marine. And thought he did the right thing. At first, I was afraid this was going to turn into another Abu Grad scandal.

after watching the video - the uncut version - I too believe the marine did the right thing in this circumstance due to the situation.

The stress level is obviously high and some help may be needed for him and for the entire unit.

He has a great defense but someone was killed so that will have to be hashed out like anyother killing due to stress or self defense.

Out there, it's kill or be killed.

as they say in Texas, "sometimes they just need killin!"

But wasn't it Clinton in response to the war on terror who said "....we can't kill all of them." Now that the election is over maybe we can try to get a jump on attempting to prove the former President wrong.

One other idea, I think we need to wait a while before we go to Home Depot and start re-building Fallujah. Maybe some of these other hot beds will think for a minute before harbouring the terrorist. Hell, I saw the pictures of Fallujah before and after and can't see much difference. If I lived in a shack with absolutely nothing and thought throwing a rock at a passing cop would get my shack blown up and replaced with something nicer, I might consider it.

Anyone, R or D, who saw the tape I did, which didn't even show the actual shooting, but only a "panoramic" of the room, followed by the audio, can't reasonably condemn this Marine. There were at least a dozen bodies lying there, any one of which could have been faking. In that situation, shoot first, ask questions later.

This is no Abu Ghraib, this is a Marine doing his job.

As we should support all our troops.
