Default .

Since Comrade Algore has declared the debate on global warming "over," will the Central Committee get mad at me for asking what Mann's and the UN's predictions were on the massive hurricanes that were supposed to strike fear in the hearts of Earthlings in 2006?

These boobs can't get a forcast right for 24 hours, or a single year, and certainly not 35 years ahead as Algore professed today. Gullible, gullible, gullible. Now, how 'bout that N.O. real estate I offered a "great" deal on?

Why don't you provide a link to those predictions.

Default I'll go you one better

I'll go you one better--how about a link on the polar ice caps on Mars melting? Of course, this is no doubt caused by human activity on earth.

http://science.nasa.gov/headlines/y2..._southpole.htm
http://www.capmag.com/news.asp?ID=1465

And, of course, human activity on earth is also evidently responsible for global warming taking place on Pluto.

http://www.space.com/scienceastronom...ng_021009.html

Not to be outdone, Venus is also warming.

http://www.channel4.com/science/micr...s/planets.html

I had no idea driving SUV's on planet earth had such far-reaching consequences!

Oh, I heard the seas are going to rise. Ever seen maps of what the world looked like a hundred or so million years ago? Here, I'll show you: http://pubs.usgs.gov/gip/dynamic/historical.html Imagine that! The oceans covered huge expanses of land, all without the aid or contribution of any human activity!

Global warming alarmists are the most vain people in all of human history.

Huh? For someone who posts so much, you seem to have trouble reading. Normally, in the course of a dialogue, when I'm asking a question, I wouldn't be the one with a link to the answer. I don't mean to get picky here Raytri, but are you sure you are up to these debates?

Yeah, barney, I heard that too. I heard it would be because the polar caps would be melting. How come the level in my glass of iced-tea doesn't rise as the ice melts? I guess I shudda showed that tea Algore's sci-fi disaster flick.

Come to think of it, when I take out a tray of ice from the freezer, as it melts, the water level drops way down from the level it was as ice. I guess that ice didn't read the IPCC report. What are we gonna do with such "inconvenient" tea and ice?

You claimed, in the form of a question, that Mann and the UN predicted massive hurricanes in 2006. I asked for a link.

But no worries. I didn't expect you to be able to back up your argument.

Default Uh Oh.

http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,233454,00.html

On May 22, the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) issued its “2006 Atlantic Hurricane Outlook,” forecasting an “80 percent chance of an above-normal hurricane season, a 15 percent chance of a near-normal season, and only a 5 percent chance of a below-normal season.” NOAA called for “a very active 2006 season, with 13-16 named storms, 8-10 hurricanes, and 4-6 major hurricanes.”

NOAA based its forecast on “an expected continuation of conditions associated with the multi-decadal signal, which has favored above-normal Atlantic hurricane seasons since 1995. These conditions include considerably warmer that normal sea surface temperatures, lower wind shear, reduced sea level pressure, and a more conducive structure of the African easterly jet [stream].”

What uh-oh? The NOAA is neither Michael Mann nor the UN, and it issues hurricane predictions every year.

Default More Uh Oh

http://72.14.209.104/search?q=cache:...lnk&cd=1&gl=us

GUATEMALA CITY — The 2006 hurricane season could match the record-breaking destruction caused by storms in 2005, the United Nations warned.
