Default CE's not scientific enough?

In the "Engineering Sciences", Civil engineering probably ranks toward the bottom on a difficulty scale, but make no mistake about it...it is indeed a legitimate "science". People with an earned degree in CE have a not-to-be-scoffed-at right to pass judgment on scientific matters.

That doesn't mean that I support what might be clearly seen as a political outrage...

yes, that expertise is about as legitimate in this circumstance as fish and wildlife scientists computing load limits for multi-story buildings

Load limits!
That implies a belief in gravity.

I know for sure you're a liberal. I can't decide if you've been fooled or are just agenda-driven. Political fools tend to be people who have a hard time reading between the lines and looking at the big picture. The big picture is usually decided for them by some official to complete the deception. In actuality (and I'm not speaking as a Bush Advocate because as a conservative, I am very dissapointed with him) the Bush administration has been very clean, as clean as you could hope for in a President. Sure, there are controversies and your now and then conspiracy theory, but this administration has had no more scandals than FDR or Gerald Ford. The easiest way to tell this is the fact that they print every little thing that someone will look at as a scandal. Most of this is either agenda-driven or unremarkable crap. If you were to look at someone like Bill Clinton's administration which was not excessively scrutinized, there is far more controversy and scandaloous happens than most any other President. The Majority of these were covered up or never printed. The details are not important because I didn't write this reply to pick on Bill Clinton. The point was to just clarify to the members and readers that this President is not a scandalous one. However there are certain things that have happened in his administration that have made him look really bad. For one thing, that whole Report that Powell gave to the UN about those Rail-riding WMD factories. That sounded like a bunch of crap when I first heard it and it turned out it was pre-fabricated crap by some two-bit hack working in the CIA, trying to over-extend the evidence founded by America, Britain and Russia. It also did not look good when Cheney shot his friend, whatever his name is. There are other things to that were a bunch of crap or a mistake. But the President is for the most part honest with the American people and his staff have integrity. I have never caught the President with an Out-right lie ever. True, he has stretched the truth at times but he has never lied. His predecessor used to lie in his sleep. Every (*)(*)(*)(*) thing Clinton said was a lie. I've never seen or met someone like him. Ever single freaken thing he said on camera was a God(*)(*)(*)(*) lie! But people liked him. I don't know whether it's because people are really that stupid and naive or they just applaude his destructive platform. Anyhow, that's the way I see it and am a firm believer it is the truth. Cheers.

Default Good!!

Maybe now I'll be able to visit my favorite beach on Cape Cod without being barred because some overbaked sparrow with a fancy name like Piping Plover makes its home there. Or we'll be able to build the park in our neighborhood that we can't currently build because it's designated wetlands. Despite the fact that in over a year the only thing I've ever seen there are rabbits and mosquitos. But maybe libs want to protect misquitos now.

By the mid-19th century unique had developed a wider meaning, “not typical, unusual,” and it is in this wider sense that it is compared. The comparison of so-called absolutes in senses that are not absolute is standard in all varieties of speech and writing.

Sounds like a typical Bush appointee. Not appointed due to experience but due to Republican loyalties.

Default Typical

The liberal response to this is expected. Their faux "outrage" at the audacity of someone from the Bush administration actually doing their job instead of first bowing at the altar of environmentalism (their religion du jour) isn't in the least surprising.

It's the typical whining you grow accustomed to with liberals.
