Remember the list of 400 scientists, which later became 500 scientists, denying that global warming is real? On the list were TV weathermen with no background in climatology, members of oil company think tanks, and other shills. But, disturbingly, there were also some reputable scientists on that list. Well, guess what? The reputable scientists are speaking out. Here is an example:
There are dozens of answers similar to this in just the first 24 hours since everyone on the list was emailed, asking why they were on the list. And the answers from the reputable scientists, denying they support anti global warming, just keep pouring in.

And this is the problem with global warming deniers. Just like creationists, if the evidence does not support them, they just make stuff up. Where is the science in making stuff up? The people who put together this list for political reasons are no more scientists than a fry cook at McDonald's is a CEO.

1) And now, a couple of days later, after this article, more news is coming out about the fake list, created by oil shill Heartland Insitute. The 2 New Zealand scientists in the list, have all come out with a statement condemning the Heartland Institute for being dishonest enough to include their names. The work of ALL 5 of these scientists is in the field of global warming.

2) More scientists are peppering the Heartland Institute with scathing comments concerning that think tank's dishonesty. They all SUPPORT the theory of man made global warming, but were nevertheless included in the list.

And guess who the culprit turned out to be? Not a scientist at all by global warming naysayer Dennis T. Avery, who is one of the political talking heads at the Heartland Institute.

So Dennis. You don't believe in global warming, right? Are you so sure of what you believe in? Because, if you were, then you would not be acting like a thief, a liar, and a libeler, all rolled into one, would you? The difference between you and the scientific community is simple. Scientists do all their work on experimentation and observation. You simply make stuff up. That's a big difference. So why should you be considered credible? Easy answer to that one. You are no more credible than a blind man would be if he told you the sky was green.

The Global alarmists were trying to create a new commodities market based on selling thin air. The vehement proponents, no doubt felt they were getting in on the ground floor of Global Market where their small investments would net them trillions of dollars utilizing the natural warming and cooling cycles of the Earth as an engine of profit. The Sun's radiance increases and decreases in cycles, warming and cooling the earth. Unfortunately, for them, it all hinged on getting the world wide mechanism in place before the Sun's radiance spike subsided and allowed the Earth to cool a bit. Had they accomplished this in 1998 with Kyoto, no doubt they would be triumphantly proclaiming victory at the latest cooling trend and using that to further their thin air market. They underestimated the power of their own greed and never anticipated the fractured failing structure of what they set up due to everyone involved fighting to position themselves for the most monetary advantage.

wow! I assumed when this "list" came out it was full of industry hacks and RW shills, now it looks like they had so few people that they had to pad it with real scientists who disagree with them.

I guess we won't hear a peep on Fox News like we would for weeks, months, and years if the opposite were true.

It'd be funny if it weren't so sad and destructive to real conversation.
