Well, it claims to be the one true religion, doesn't it? Thou shalt have no god before me and such. Doesn't that mean that it's the only religion that people should believe in?

I prefer forgiveness to killing everyone I don't agree with. And if every muslim acted like that, I would be perfectly happy giving them a death sentence. And I don't care who's distorting what, people kill in the name of God. People use the bible to fuel their hatred. Preachers teach their follows to fear certain people, and fear grows into hate, which the followers then use to justify violence. It doesn't matter that the bible says love they neighbor if the followers don't read it.

Religions can be twisted.

But it certainly looks like Islam actively endorses killing. If there is some way that all those verses means something else "in context" one of the people arguing that point might want to give the context.

And? Did Jesus force people to follow him? No. He let his followers choose to follow him. And once he had followers he did not start forcably converting or killing anyone who opposed him. See that's the big difference between Christianity and Islam.

There have been plenty of people who claimed to act on behalf of Jesus who did start forcably converting or killing anyone who opposed him. See that's the big similarity between Christianity and Islam.

So if idiots do stupid things and claim to be part of your group, it casts a bad light on your group. The point of this whole thing is the Bible doesn't say kill, torture or maim unbelievers. The quran does.

O.K. I had to read the Quran this year for my world history class and all I got out of it was that Mohommad is nuts. I would not consider myself christian although I was rasied christian, but at least the bible makes sense.
All the Quran says is "do this becasue Allah says so and Allah is great." there are no parables or stories, everything is just "do what Allah says or die because Allah is great."

Wrong, no where did Jesus say to do this, this was done on their own accord. Muhammed on the other hand not only said to do those things he lead by example.
