No "Semantics" involved ..its a blunt denial by the people living there of the rhetoric you and others use to describe theiir situation.
Majority of Iraqis do not believe they are in a civil war. Sorry.

Whether you call it civil war or war between or among "Regligious" \etnic factions it amounts to the same thing - people die, life gets disrupted, and if you have an ineffectual government to start with it can lead to breakdown.
Does it matter if the Sunni slug who drives a 1987 Toyota loaded with 1000 ibs of explosive into a crowded market of Shiite shoppers a civil warrior or a terrorist the result is still the same. B O OOOOO M !!!! DEAD DYING CRIPPLED !!!! EOS !!!

Yes becasue the Civil War routine is an excuse to say
"See they are only killing each other..It not our Problem..We can leave and it wonlt be giving up to Terrorists" ..and YES Because the people there do not describe what is occuring as a CIVIL WAR..so neither should you.

No.... this isn't my opinion.
I'm not pushing my opinion over the opinions of those there. I am presenting their opinion. Their opinion outweighs yours and mine on what the reality of the situation as they see. They do not agree that doing nothing to Saddam was a great idea. They do not agree life was etter under Saddam then now. They don't agree that they are culturally are incapable of enjoying democracy and freedom. They don't agree that there is a Civil War.
