This is just sad. This is precisely why theocracy is always going to pose huge problems. Sorry, being of another faith is not a crime.

missed you too!

The British did not start the Bahai faith. A Persian man, Baha Ullah, did, and it started in Iran. Baha Ullah spent much of his life in a Persian prison before being exiled. The only British connection with the Bahai faith has to do with a letter that Baha Ullah sent Queen Elizabeth before he died. Her response to that letter was that, if there is anything true of what Baha Ullah said, then time would bear it out. Today, the headquarters of the Bahai religion is in Tel-Aviv, Israel.

Finally in response to your last sentence in the first paragraph, you are right. Man should always have hope. This thought is what ALL religions are based on. Unfortunately, there are people in this world who preach hate rather than hope, and I do not blame only those who have hijacked Islam. Whether it is an Islamic Mullah ordering the execution of those with different beliefs, or whether it is a member of the KKK, right here in the United States, using Christianity to justify the lynching of blacks, it runs contrary to God's word. The word of God is not to be taken lightly, because he has reserved a special place in Hell for the hypocrites.

If you feel like this about the Bahai faith, then you should have no complaint against some Christians who are similar to you, in that they hope to bury "Islamic trash".

There is a quality about hate that makes it universal, and that quality can be summed up by "What goes around comes around". Better to drop your hatred, and pray that it does not come back to you sometime in your own life.

Sunni Man, that is very disappointing to hear; especially after the amount of intolerance you receive. I have been trying to defend your point of view, but I fear I will be embarrassed by incidents like this in the end.

Dan, your friend and his family are certainly in my prayers. I have sent the appropriate emails and dialed the appropriate numbers. I hope he, and the others, can be set free.

But as with all that oppose freedom of speech and religion, they should only tolerate what is RIGHT, and what is RIGHT is what THEY believe, so there is no purpose in allowing anything that is WRONG to be spoken or supported. And don't you dare question whether or not they are right or not because they just KNOW that they're right.

Apologies for gravedigging here, but I need to address this:

It's a good thing there's an article out there to disprove such mullah-fabricated propaganda:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Allegat...h_other_powers

It actually has sources - you know, the things that the mullahs withhold with their own propaganda because there are none. Also keep in mind that both Baha'i and non-Baha'i sources are cited, making the article quite holistic. Share it with your Iranian friends. And please don't say Wikipedia is unrealiable; it's the article itself that counts, and as you can see almost every sentence in there is sourced with an existing document.
