You're defending that because ...?
Until you experience it you have no reason to question why we didn't want someone criticising our government. So you heard Americans being critical and that proves what? Not all Americans love America, just like not all Australians love Australia. I don't really recall any American being called traitorous after 9/11 but I would appreciate you pointing me to a link.
America was hurting after 9/11 as a people and as a nation, not all things that happened after 9/11 was right, it was new to us but that is life. I will side first with my country and I will make no apologies.

Absolutely right. No doubt about it.

These are the facts and they are undisputed:

1) In February 2005, the government of Australia sends troops to Iraq to assist in training Iraqi soldiers costing the taxpayer between $250 million to $350 million a year to keep in Iraq.

2) Gulf War coalition forces: Australia

Australian Air Force personnel: 17,700
Australian Armed forces personnel: 51,000
Australian Army personnel: 25,400

Source

I'm just curious why Liberals living outside The United States rarely condemns their government for "meddling into the affairs" of another sovereign nation. Is the tyrannous (traitorous) government of Australia guilty of war crimes against humanity???

Were the forest fires ("forest jihad") set ablaze in Australia in February 2009 that claimed 230 innocent lives directly associated with fanatical religious extremism, threats from "jihadis" related to radical Islam???

Quote:
Australia has announced a major public inquiry into the most lethal bushfires in its history, even before the full cost can be counted from blazes that have cost up to 230 lives near the southern city of Melbourne.

I wonder how much time the mods have to waste on threads like these when they could be editing and deleting the posts people are reporting..? Just a sort of irony I've recently noticed.

Wow. Did you just confirm that b/c the US was attacked, nobody should have questioned or criticised actions by your government?

Uh huh. So if one is critical of their government, they don't love their country. Would that make them unpatriotic?

I believe that is precisely the point BowerBird was making

LOL! How did you miss it? It was plastered all over political chat rooms and forums. Clearly, BowerBird isn't the only one who read it!

Here's a website that actually lists all those scandalous traitors for not supporting the President and/or invasion of Iraq.

http://www.probush.com/traitor.htm

None of that rings a bell?

Don't get me wrong Daisy, I'm well aware and empathic to the profound impact 9/11 has had on many Americans. But that doesn't preclude others from noticing that it had a profound effect on many Americans perspective of patriotism.

It seems you would agree as evidenced by your posts in this thread.
