"After long consideration and discussion, the moderators of the forum have voted to ban both Righty and kaladrew. One moderator is absent, the remaining 7 of us agreed unanimously. We believe they rarely contributed to discussions, rather they caused more dissonance within the bounds of the discussions that they posted to. The entire panel believes that their negative contributions to the forum far outweighed the positive.

We'd like to use this event to remind you all of the purpose of this forum:

MISSION STATEMENT

PoliticalForum.com functions as a public forum website open to all individuals of all political persuasions that is centered on the discussion of politics in general. All walks of life are welcome to join the discussions in the tradition of vigorous respectful debate. The purpose of rules and guidelines for the forum is to help create an environment that is inviting to as wide a spectrum of people as possible from all parts of the world, but that does not restrict the ability of users to express their political views, even if those views are inflammatory or unorthodox. In a world often filled with intense political turmoil and polarization of beliefs, PoliticalForum.com attempts to bring opposites together to relate their views and learn from one another."

We of the moderating panel believe this is the best course of action to take in order to achieve the above mission statement.

The decision was discussed over the course of several days and we all agreed that their posts were primarily flame baiting or off topic. As such, they were not in line with the spirit of the site's Mission Statement.

Several posters have been banned numerous times. Eventually we stop them!

I should have noted that both of them have been given ample warnings and time to correct their behavior. Usually, warnings worked only temporarily. Then, they would revert back to their old habits.

Warnings should be taken seriously. We make every effort to give people the time they need to understand the kind of forum we are building. Many of our posters have gotten off to a rocky start only to ultimately become some of our best posters.

I gotta hand it to ya, I moderate a forum on a much larger website and noncontributing trolls are given one warning.

You guys have incredible patience when it comes to guys like righty.

My only request would be that people not hurl personal religious insults. Hurling personal political insults can be fun (when done by professionals like myself), but I just don't see the fun in personal religious insults. Oh well...
