I will use this thread to post about feature updates that don't justify their own thread.

- Country and region flags are displayed. Go select your country and region in your profile in order to have these show up. While you're there, you might select gender again. I want to add another field or few, for Political Affiliation and Candidate of Choice, or something along those lines, please make suggestions for what the options list should include. Added fields can be displayed next to every post, or we could have them displayed only within the profile.

- From mobile devices and phones, the forum will automatically show a low-bandwidth version of the site that's quick and easy to navigate.

- New stats box added to the bottom of the index which lists the hottest threads, threads with the most recent posts, top posters, etc.

- Reputation system enabled. Everyone is starting off at 10 points at the moment.

- Donor icon added for the few who've donated during the life of the forum.

Size of PM boxes increased. Moderators 1200 messages, users 250 messages. (This is about the fifth time I've made this change, LOL. I keep having to redo settings too, so let me know if there's one that I forgot to redo that you notice.) Because of changing the size, that means you can actually send me a PM now. (I would prefer for moderators to write me directly at my gmail address, btw.)

Political affiliation would be cool. Here's a good place to start as far as a basic list:

You might even want to make a sticky read-only post in one of the main forums with links to explanations and details for the various ideologies (links don't have to be to wikipedia articles necessarily, though wikipedia is probably one of the best sources for stuff like this). It might seem overly involved, but as we all know, there have been some very long threads about this kinda stuff before.

Would be nice if there was a One-Stop-Shop on here with source material on the various wavelengths of the Political spectrum. Would be especially useful to new people to give them a broad overview. I would be happy to make a template if you want. You (or the moderators) could always change or expand it as the need arises.

Subforums are linked from index now.

Sequence of some forum categories changed.
Media, History, Conspiracy Theories moved to Other Discussion.
Community heading added, put higher up, and Off Topic and Forum Help moved into this heading.
Marketplace removed.
Political Issues categories put into Other Political Issues or taken out, depending on popularity.

Fixed default display order for some categories.

Random news box added to the top of each Forum category page (pages with the links to threads). Does anyone think this should be added to other site pages as well?

Yay, positive feedback! That thing took me a long time. Cuz I'm not some tech wizard... sigh.

What is the me too in regards to? Putting random news on other pages? Liking it?

I like the random news. I think putting it at the top of forum category pages is great. I can't think of any other good places to put it.
