There is precedent for this. The US displaced a sovereign ruler in Iraq over Un objections...yet the UN now recognizes the democracy we have replaced him with. The fact that the UN has no spine is sometimes to our benefit.

But Kosovo is not even far from Taiwan in terms of economy.

Economy is irrelevant where sovereign recognition is concerned.

Taiwan doesn't need recognized statehood as Kosovo does, because Taiwan doesn't depend on international credits as Kosovo will.
