Default HELP!!!! They keep locking the door!

I'm starting to get alittle paranoid, I feel totally unwelcome. I keep getting tossed out of the forum with message that my password has expired. What's
the story? Does anybody know?

Default .

Hang in there, it kept happening to me too.Funny, i had the same thought, that i had offended someone and i was locked out because the temp pw wouldnt work. I guess we can stop being paranoid and chalk it up to the system! I hope it dosent happen again. I felt a little lost.

Default It's happened to me too... try this...

Click on the "log in link" at the top right of the page.
Type in your username
Type in your password
When you get the "your password is expired" message click the "send me a new password" prompt. The next screen you get tells you that your email should be recieving a new password and to look out for it... yadda yadda yadda
Click on the "go back to the index" link
When I did this, I got logged in automatically. (I have no idea why, but I was in)

I emailed PF about all this and he's working feverishly on it now. He said it's happening to more than just us. He's looking into it and apologizes for the inconvenience. Let's all just hang in there, it'll get fixed.

Default Also...

If you navigate around the board by using the back/forward buttons, or by clicking on the colorful "Political Forum.com" title at the very top of the page, you have to log back in. Instead, to navigate around, try using the links on the bottom of the page. For example, this page has a series of links at the bottom that go as follows:
Political Forum>Other Discussion>Forum Help&Feedback>HELP!!!! They keep locking the door!

If you need to navigate around, use those instead and you stay logged in.

I hope this helps.

Default ...

I use Mozilla, with the auto-remember password feature (too (*)(*)(*)(*) lazy to retype password every single time ) and I have no such problems.

Default Senax...

Can you also pass the word along to PF that several people have attempted to join the forum, and were rejected for reasons unknown?

Although now I think the PMs are up and running for the most part. You can try to PM him. At the very bottom of each page is a set of links:
FAQ / Search / Users / Groups / Who's Online / Statistics / Email Digests

Click on the "Users" link and you'll find the list of users. PF is member #1 since he started the board. (Actually to be technical he's listed as #2, but he's the first user on the list... I'm #58! )Click on his profile, and then the PM link and voila! You can contact him through PM. Additionally, just as any website you find, there's a webmaster address. Webmaster@PoliticalForum.com (in case there are people reading this who can't seem to get logged on)

I know he's working hard on it now, so please be patient. This forum means a lot to him and he's glad to see the sudden upturn in interest. If things go as planned, we'll be growing by leaps and bounds the closer we get to November. This is just a stage of growing pains we're all experiencing and things will even out soon, so hang in there.
