I think I understand what you are saying. While you did break the rules and used insults, I do find it problematic when mods edit posts and insert the gay lines that some of them do. It's as if they themselves are insulting you. I understand the editing out of insults but to add something to the post inferring a totally unrelated statement is just as bad.

I disagree. The point of their insults is to discourage further behavior. And I think it works.

Win what? The battle of forum rules over those who consistently violate them? Blade couldn't go many posts without insulting someone. It has nothing to do with him being "conservative". We have lots of those. And they are still here. Some are even Mods.

What I find interesting about Blade's exit speech is that he elevated Raytri and Java as "worthy" forum liberals. Raytri and Java are certainly notable for their courtesy and thoughtfullness. Why would a person choose to take the "low road" in their own forum conduct yet admire those who do just the opposite? Interesting.

Forums are interesting in that they are occasionally revealing about human nature.

Interesting until you realise that Jake thinks that he is just like Raytri and Java in that respect, and in fact is more superior and sophisticated than anyone else on the forum.
