Good Lord I wish some people would get a life. This is getting sooooo boring.

We all know the rules, we had to agree to them to sign up. If you don't like them, go hang out somewhere else.

Jeez

And if somebody makes threats against another? What about if somebody constantly disrupts discussions with troll posts? Where do you draw the line? Do you just let everybody post whatever they wish, even if it is to the detriment of others? Just like in real life, there are rules. In real life, if you steal what belongs to someone else, you go to jail. Likewise, in any forum, if people break the rules, they get banned. I understand that. I broke an insubordination rule at another forum just before I came here, and got a 2 day suspension for it. I deserved it, and am not complaining. Without rules, there is anarchy.

I have taken a look at who the mods are here, and there seems to be close to an even split of Conservatives and Liberals, so if somebody is banned, I would think that they really did something to deserve it.

Finally, this is a private board. They can make whatever rules they want, and our posting here is a privilege, not a right. Therefore, if we want to post here, we abide by the rules.

What if the rules violate basic human rights or are based on fascist principles?

You would be happy with that would you?

93% of the mods in her are right wing and most of them dont even know it - that is hardly split down the middle.

most of the things people get banned for are petty trivialities.

how do you threaten someone over the internet anyway? ridiculous!

Allow all in otherwise its censorship, descriminatory and elitist

This is a private website. You have no rights, except those loaned to you by the owner; and even those can be taken back whenever he/she wants.

End of discussion

then this forum would be a fascist forum, and you shouldn't be here. go to a suitable forum that matches your ideas, and "Don't let the door hit ya where the good lord split ya"

Well obviously, if I knew about them before I signed up and I signed up anyway.

I certainly didn't sign up to this forum to sit around and whinge about it. There's plenty out there that would suit your needs I'm sure.

I hardly think that my basic rights as a human being are being curtailed by my free-willed decision to post on an internet forum in my spare time on my own computer in the privacy of my own home.

It's really quite simple. No Big Brother is holding a gun to your head (which really would be a human rights violation). If you don't like it, don't post here. Voila!

1) Many of the mods are not right wingers.
2) If you don't have some rules, all forums become the same thing. A series of vulgar laced obsenities and personal attacks. If you don't believe me, go to any forum with NO rules. You won't stay long.
There will probably be 400 replies and posts about how you avatar proves you are gay, followed by 300 descriptions of you and horse sex.

Ixtellor

P.S. I advocate a more elite forum. Where people like billy and blade dont' post.
