It's a new add-on we're testing that checks the content of user posts and assigns a "quality" ranking based on some fancy AI programming. It's sort of like the grade level checker you use in Microsoft Word, only much more advanced. The idea is to provide feedback to users to help them improve their arguments/posts. The link that takes the use to the explanation page is broken right now, but we should have it working in another day or two.

There are six "quality" levels. The posters with the lowest rankings see what appear to be three black boxes. Slightly better posters will see two black boxes and a box that is half green/half black and so forth. The highest "quality" level will appear as three green boxes. So far, we only have two posters with 5/6 filled, but many with 4/6.

It only analyzes your last 100 posts, so if you have fewer than that, it will automatically give you three black boxes. The rating is meant to be personal feedback, so other than the moderators, nobody else will know your ranking (unless you tell them).
