Nope, the only military I ever served with was a Fife and Drum Corps. Marching in the heat of summer on blacktop wearing dark colors and black hats while playing a drum will toughen you right up though. The music and history I learned also gave me a real appreciation for the Revolution.

My affinity for Volvos is because they are safe tanks and as a rule flippin' easy to work on. I started doing my own car work because I was broke, and I found that I liked it. Currently I have a '93 940 sedan and a '94 940 wagon. Both turbos, both blue. Same engine, same model means that I can minimize the amount of spare parts that I keep on hand. The older models also mean that I'm not completely dependent on a computer to tell me what's wrong with the thing.

There are days I want something newer, but I have to admit, no car payment is a nice thing.
