Why lock this thread? It's no different from 90% of the other threads in the forum.

And what does it take to lock a thread? One person to complain?

Looks like the thread got off topic, mainly, that category is for jokes, satire, etc. Usually threads don't get locked until they are a few pages long at least, but they can be locked to stop something that has gone off topic.
