Since when does love and civil rights need explanation?

Ok, but loving someone of the same sex is not wrong. So, what is your point?

Except for the inability to procreate, how do heteros compliment each other better than gays?

so in the augment for homosexual marriage is love, and thats a valid augment but the same augment can be used for bestiality.
But, that's not the only argument. (Read above.)

Default Reduce wildlife immorality! Let animals marry!

I can't believe you would oppose animal marriage. Do you have any idea how few animal species mate for life right now? Very few, and most of them are birds!

It's outrageous. Millions of species have a different mate every season, or worse, polygamy (I know, I know; shocking; but have you ever watched one of those "Born Free" movies? And they call it a "pride" of lions. What's to be proud of, I ask you?)

I hesitate even to type this, but some species go so far as to have multiple partners without benefit of even a long-term relationship. After the orgy, the father often can't even be identified. The young are raised either by the mother alone, by the pack as a whole, or (gasp!) left to fend for themselves in the wild.

The decline of the family is perfectly illustrated by sea turtles. They frolic and mate out at sea, then crawl up on the beach, lay their eggs, and leave! The babies hatch and are completely on their own. Not only is the infant mortality rate simply staggering; how will they ever grow up to be responsible members of turtle society without a parent to give them moral guidance?

If you care about this world of ours, you simply have to campaign for animal marriage. Any other stand is hypocritical.

.... or, you could decide to mind your own business and worry about things that actually matter, rather than wondering if treating people with humanity, decency and respect is compatible with your religion.

A little ditty for your enjoyment:

Straight, married, father of two,
Couldn't care less what my neighbors do,
Their morality doesn't affect mine,
Got better things to do with my time
Lying, environment, and justice miscarried
are all bigger threats than gays gettin' married

Thank you, thank you.... I'll be here all week....

What do we do about inter-species mingling? I don't think the good lord meant for different species co-habitating and diluting their bloodlines.

I dunno. There's some serious amusement value to Great Dane/Chihuahua mixes.

That's true, but since the Great Danes are the supreme breed, Chihuahuas shouldn't be able to marry them. They should stick to their own kind.

Default look at the foundation of the homosexual arguments

"Since when does love and civil rights need explanation?"

what do you mean, some times everything needs to be explained, and everything have an explanation even if we don't know it.

"Ok, but loving someone of the same sex is not wrong. So, what is your point?"

what i'm saying is that you can't use genetics/hormones as a scape-goat.

"Except for the inability to procreate, how do heteros compliment each other better than gays?"

woman are different then men so what a man can't fulfill a woman can and what a woman can't fulfill a man can.

could you summarize the main underlining arguments for homosexual marriage i have not found any but...
1 they love each other
2 civil rights
are there any more?

Maybe you think this falls under civil rights, but how about:

Perhaps the problem is less that gays want to get married than that the state is involved in marriage, a fundamentally religious institution.

Marriage is used as a proxy for many other things, and proxies are never fully satisfactory. The reason gays want to get married is so they can show their committment to each other, as well as receive the many benefits that automatically come with marriage, most importantly the right of survivorship and the ability to make legal and medical decisions for an incapacitated spouse.

Maybe the "marriage" designation should be left to the churches, mosques and synagogues, a private religious designation. The government could then establish neutral benefits based on societal goals, not marital status. For instance, if two-parent families are considered important for the proper raising of children, then the government could provide tax benefits to two-parent families with children.

Civil unions for all, marriage for those who want it. To reduce paperwork and keep things simple, you could have a law that says marriage by an IRS-recognized church automatically confers government civil union benefits.

Get the government out of the business of deciding who is married and who is not.

All intolerant double-talk. In the end, opponents of gay marriage simply oppose it because they believe it is immoral. Any other excuse is just that.
