And in ants, for example, 99.99999% of the population is sterile and can't reproduce. Yet ants do just fine.

And there are plenty of heterosexual sexual practices that cannot lead to pregnancy, either.

True. And in humans the 90% of nonhomosexuals have the babies. That doesn't make homosexuality unnatural.

Just curious, how do you reconcile that in the LDS faith?

Those are genetic defects, malfunctions, homosexuality has no biological purpose and nature does not purposely produce things without a function.

I mean some people seem to enjoy sex with dead bodies, animals, children, and whatever. Those are obviously all genetic malfunctions, something went wrong with the sexual orientation in such cases.

Wow. You should publish a scientific paper if you can prove that. You'd be famous.

Actually, nature produces plenty of things without function -- like male nipples.

But even if homosexuality doesn't have a purpose, it doesn't follow that homosexuals should be discriminated against.

That said, there are plenty of theories as to what the function of homosexuality might be:
http://www.talkorigins.org/indexcc/CB/CB403.html

Note the last one in particular: families with a history of homosexuality tend to be more fertile.

And some people like to be spanked during sex. There are plenty of sexual practices that are not practiced by the majority of people. Why do they necessarily have to be the result of a "malfunction"?

More to the point, if the practice involves consenting adults, why do such people need to be discriminated against?

Because I accept the premise that homosexuals did not choose to be homosexual (just like I know full well I never chose to be heterosexual), that makes homosexuality totally natural. Nature made them that way for whatever reason. And no, I don't care what the reason is.
