YOU aren't the ONLY smart person; there are MANY. Fact is, that some of those very smart people do NOT agree with you. You need to learn to accept that (at some point).

The fact is that gays are not special people that they need special rights.

And no sane, thinking gay person, using decent English would say what you just said. If you mean that homosexual people deserve EQUAL rights and protections under the LAW... then THAT would make good sense. Otherwise, I think it would be fair to ask you to be a lot more CLEAR in what you actually mean (by what you say).

nope. nowhere in those six states, does it say anything about having to be gay in order to marry someone of the same sex.

There is no reason to limit marriage to sexual couples only, other then to serve gay community.

You do not understand simple logical concept so I can't help.
When one group of people is licensed and regulated that means that group of people has special rights.
If you add another group to the first group that second group will also have special rights.
The problem is that second group does not require licensing and regulation because it does not have any effect on society.
If you grant special rights to certain group for no reason, then why ALL group should not have those rights.

I have said countless times that I would agree with this viewpoint if people who promote it agree that Any hetrosexual couples who do not want, or are unable to have children are barred from amrriage on the sames grounds as gays, that they would not procreate, and that once a woman reaches menopause, she should be barred from marriage from her inabiolity to procreate as well.

Sure, zero effect if the only "effect" that one could possibly have on society is makin' babies.. But we all know society is based on far more than that.

Same sex couples do the job of looking after the kids that breeders reject. I'd say that's a pretty good contribution to society.
