sounds like he's simply addressing creating rules/laws based upon how one has sex

if you are unaware of the restaurant they close on Sundays; guess why.
Claiming god is the one who decides upon who should or shouldn't marry...is as ignorant as it comes.

Perhaps you should read the actually article, they also donate to anit-LGBT charities.
I'm not saying let's go kill all the stupid people...I'm just saying lets remove all the warning labels and let the problem sort itself out.

"I think we are inviting God's judgment on our nation when we shake our fist at him and say, 'We know better than you as to what constitutes a marriage,'" Dan Cathy, the company's president and chief operating officer, said in a recent radio interview. "I pray God's mercy on our generation that has such a prideful, arrogant attitude to think that we have the audacity to define what marriage is about."

In an interview with the Baptist Press published this week, Cathy doubled down on his stance against same-sex unions.

"Guilty as charged," Cathy said. "We are very much supportive of the family—the biblical definition of the family unit. We are a family-owned business, a family-led business, and we are married to our first wives. We give God thanks for that."

"We know that it might not be popular with everyone," he added, "but thank the Lord, we live in a country where we can share our values and operate on biblical principles."

The company, founded by Dan's father, Truett Cathy, in 1946, has a history of "unapologetic social conservatism," as the Daily Caller put it. All 1,608 of its stores are closed on Sundays, a day of rest for most Christians.

According to Queerty.com, the WinShape Foundation—Chick-fil-A's charitable arm—donated more than $1.1 million between 2003 and 2008 to anti-LGBT groups, doubling that amount to $2 million in 2009.

Earlier this year, students at Northeastern University protested a proposal to put a Chick-fil-A on its Boston campus because of the company's history of supporting anti-gay organizations. The school abandoned its plan.

I for one find it fairly funny that a restaurant chain is playing marriage politics.

Last I knew the only thing chic-fil-a did was expand american waist lines.

What sticks out most here is the idea that these people believe the bible dictates american marriage contracts. Last time I checked...everyone else got married to. Atheists included. So...are they just brain dead?
pretty stupid of him to alienate so many customers, but his company

did he say wives as in more then one... is he a Romney supporter...

belief is what is important, not so much what you believe, for instance, an ordinary sugar pill without belief helps no one, but with belief it can cure your ills and it can be quite the amazing little pill - the magic really comes from within

(*)(*)(*)(*) you're taking this personally. it's leaving you more butt-hurt than being gay.
What you have whispered to someone behind closed doors will be shouted from the rooftops.
I don't want to set the world on fire-just parts of it.

that is like comparing a business that is racist against one that supports equal rights.... same thing... except this is sex discrimination

I've eaten there and they serve males and females and males and females work there. There is no sex discrimination; care to try again?

Chick Fil-A food is much better than McDonald's or the typical fast food chain. Plus they let their employees take off on Sunday - that's more than you can say about the average major corporation.

The gay mafia needs to get a life and give the homosexual McCarthyism a rest.

Gay people have every right to eat there. Disapproving of homosexual behavior is not the same as "hating gays". That's what the homo-fascists refuse to except.
