There have probably been many gay marriage opponents who have seen this thread, and none have answered, because there simply isn't any reason not to allow gay marriage.

Best debate ever.

So does this constitute unconditional surrender, or just a massive retreat? Am I seriously going to have to go to a different site to get a conservative to answer a question on gay marriage?

No, there aren't.

If two consenting people want to engage in a legal contract that brings them together in a marriage. Then so be it.

Sigh, the "conservatives" are good at doing the fly by shooting or fighting on their grounds, but it sure is difficult to get them to speak up when they on the defensive.

Ask me anything you want and I will answer.

I'm not sure what you're referring to here.

No need to ask me, I did't start the thread. If you want to address another thread that I started that I'm still waiting for a response for, please refer to

I'm not sure why you would care if I do though because I support what you support.

Then you're not the "conservative" I was looking for, lol.

You demonstrate one of the problems with our false dichotomy. Everyone is either classified as a liberal or a conservative, but the fact is very few people fit the bill for either. I assume you think of yourself as a "conservative"? I appreciate your ability to think outside the box despite the fact that many "conservatives" do not support the option for gay marriage.

I'd say I'm a libertarian or an objectivist.

Most people here think I am a "liberal" because of my foreign policy ideas (which is nonsense of course). You're the first to think I am a conservative.

Forgive me, your stance on taxation put you closer to conservative, or at least economic conservative. However, now that I know your social positions, yes, I agree. You are much closer to a libertarian.
