I have formed relationships here on this forum. I find the threads really great.

I grew up differently than most of the people here. You have taken the time to be friendly for the most part. I admit that most everyone here is accepting of the LGBT people on the forum. That is refreshing. It is a tribute to all of you that a thread like coming out can be here without a lot of attacks. There are some don't get me wrong.

Living a lesbian life is far different then living the life of someone who is straight. I have found that being out and when I say that I mean fully out. In my beginnings I mention that we all had to hide. Now life has changed and we in this life have become accepted to a degree. That is great. I can walk down the street now holding hands with my wife/partner. I can do that because of the openness again I say for the most part of people like you.
Because of my years fighting discrimination I come off as course and rough. I admit that I am unyielding in my positions. I rarely take the time to say thanks to those that support my issues when they are not there own.

The one thing that has made coming out easier is the openness of the world. It is people that try to understand. I know that a straight person really can't understand gay. I can't really understand straight. I just look out and see things my way. You yours. I have found that in being out the love and common decency of most human beings.

I know everyone here has such varied opinions. You do reach across the aisle and generate good will.

For those of you that struggle with gays for whatever reason, I encourage you to look deeper and see the person not the acts and life you may not care for. Take a look deeper into their eyes and heart. Love has no chains it flies out like a bird. It can touch each one of us in so many different ways.

Coming out is a way to say I am gay. It is a way where we face the world true to ourselves and filled with hopes and dreams. It is an empowerment for a minority. It is the way we overcome adversity and struggle.

When we come out, when I came out I faced the world in a whole new way. It was long ago when I told the world I am gay. I am I. I still am the person brash and filled with fight and rebellion. I am older I can't always claim to be wiser.

I just wanted to tell you all how great you are. You represent the diversity in the world. This is just a sharing on the people here on this forum. If you have anything to share please add on.

I've been completely heartened by the support Margaret and I recieved when she were married recently. We are planning a wedding party Sept 28th. We had to delay the party and the honeymoon because the day after we married the forest fires started in our area and our friends scattered to the four winds for safety.

I've met some truly wonderful people on this forum too. Most people are fair minded and tolerant.

To the majority-- I too salute you and thank you for your open heartedness.
