Very sorry about that, I put that post up rather early in the morning, so as you probably guessed, I was not quite awake.
I guess I should say then: I agree with you sXenotsexy, I don't see what is so perverted about homosexual's. What is exactly so 'perverted'?

I am heterosexual, and I don't think anyone "chooses" to be attracted to the same gender sexually. They may, however, choose to "come out" and face the wrath of the uneducated, the "Christians" who think they are annointed to define sin, and the homophobic, many of whom fear that they may harbor some homosexual feelings themslves.

No one would choose to make their life more difficult by deciding to be homosexual.

I thought Christ taught tolerance.

I am not threatened by gay marriage, I don't think there is a God who (*)(*)(*)(*)s them, and by the way, I will vote for George Bush, because this particular issue pales when compared to others.

Lets say the whole world turns gay on you (even though,you don't just turn gay...you are either gay or you are not, but that is beside the point). Lets say that everyone you know turns gay. Does this mean that you would turn gay BigLouie? You are against being gay because you are not gay. You will never be gay, regardless of the entire world being gay. That is quite obvious. So what makes you think that if we allow gay marriage to occur that society will then become more perverted (gay does not = perverted)? Don't forget BigLouie, you are part of this society, whether the rest of us or yourself want to admit that. If we allow gay marriage to occur, BigLouie would not become perverted, now would he? This is to say, those who are gay, will continue to be gay, those destined to be gay, will be gay, and those who were not gay, would stay heterosexual, those who were destined to remain heterosexual would stay heterosexual. Don't confuse the issue by trying to make being gay sound like a disease. It is a fact of life BigLouie. There are gay people everywhere....look out BigLouie, you could be next!!!!LOL

That's ridiculous. Being gay is not perverted. I kind of liken it to being left-handed. Most people are right handed, but some are not....and that's OK, too. I am gay and the only "choice" I have is to either be with someone of my own sex or be celibate. I have nothing against the opposite sex, I just have zero desire to be sexual with them.

If you find gay sex "perverted," don't have gay sex. Others don't share your opinion. Everyone has a right to pursue his/her happiness, even if their way of life doesn't jive with your moral compass.

The only thing I see these days "perverting our society" are closed-minded, self-righteous pinheads such as yourself who feel that their way is the only right way.

However, not a single one that deserves recognition under the constitution of the United States.

I would say that the biggest reason for animosity is because of faith by making homosexuality right the U.S. government (in the eyes of Christianity) is saying that their religion is wrong.

However, they are forgeting something about democracy.

It inherently defies Christian doctrine. Christianity has a mission of "believe in Jesus and be saved or don't and not be saved." In other words, believe in him or you are subject to eternal (*)(*)(*)(*)ation. It's this do or die attitude that contradicts democracy. While it requires you to believe it, democracy doesn't. Therefore democracy dissents from it's beliefs.

Where does this "we must save you idea come from." It comes from the immediate idea of any religion that because it is valid (once again, in it's members eyes) it must be accepted as that by all.

But now that democracy is a prevailing element, Christianity has been forced to conform. They've always resisted the change, and they've always lost.

The idea that god created blacks mentally deficient was defended by many Christian traditionalists. They lost that fight, and the rise of democracy forced them to conform to that ideal. Christianity often promoted the thought that women were not equal to men. They lost that fight too, and democracy forced them to conform.

Now they fight against gay marriage, for the same reasons. "Gay marriages are deficient." "They promote lawlessness, corruption, evil, and disease."

Really? If I remember correctly those were the same reasons the Christian base used to argue that blacks shouldn't have rights, that women shouldn't be allowed to vote.

It's the same old story. Same ending. They will lose, and democracy will force them to conform.
