Norway has held onto first place for 5 years, since it was taken from Canada in 2001.

Default .

We beat France by one place. Made my day. Nice to see Cuba doing well too.

Apparently 55% of governments are now democracies too. Things are looking up.

1st place again... *Sigh*.
These kind of reports are making (most of) the Norwegian media, and thus the people, narcissistic and self-centered. Foreign news are no longer centered on what happens around the world, but what happens to Norwegians around the world. We tend to forget those under the top 10 list, those closer to the bottom, like Sierra Leone. Are we to comfortable? Perhaps, but we could be more comfortable, and more importantly, we should, and could use our cumfyness to make other people less uncomfortable. That's my opinion at least.

Default Worst countries

For comparison purposes, the five worst countries are:

Niger
Sierra Leone
Burkina Faso
Mali
Chad

Lets hope they improve over the next decade.

I'm surprised it hasn't fallen farther.
