Default More Guns...

Recently i was talking to my father about the Left's view on guns. After a brief moment of thought, he offered a clever and appeasing solution to one of the problems.

"Back in the Eighties your aunt and i were having a similar argument. She already owned a gun, but was intent on selling it due to their son's recent curiosity in large cabinets (namely shelves near the top). Seeing that the boy was only five years old, the aunt was indeed scared for her son's life."

"After a long debate, i realized, 'why not simply buy more guns? your son would have to climb to the top of the cabinet, find a gun light enough to hold, unlock the safety, find the correct ammo, load the ammo correctly, aim the gun at a vital body part and have enough strength to pull the trigger. by the time he is old enough to do so, he'll have learned about the gun's danger and would voluntarily stay away from it, especially if you bring up such close calls."

Default ...

Okay, that could work, but then you have to think about all the kids who know what they're doing. Like the drunk teenagers who think it'll be fun to shoot stuff, or the kid who was bullied just one too many times.

Default just a man and his pole

Since you have re-opened this discussion. I have the oppurtunity to call for the ban of guns (except in the honorable commision of the duel)

I think all disputes should again be settled in the time honored way . I would like to see the return of "Jousting." Nothing is more exciting.

Default Jousting? How boringly civilized.

I'd like to see a throwback to the good ol' days of gladiators fighting to the death in arenas. Now that's entertainment.

Default Hmph

If children were raised around guns and taught firearm safety there wouldn't be any accidental shootings by children. But since our idiotic society makes guns taboo, they aren't raised around them.
