How do honest people defend themselves from criminals? If and I stress the IF, the government starts hitting honest people, how will they protect themselves?

Dumbest idea ever. Totally idiotic.

the idea was not to kill off criminals compleately, the idea was to tone down the level of violence. criminals can never be brought down. This is a concept that would never work in any country who has guns currently. this is obviously an idealistic concept, that would probably never work in the world, unless a new country is developed. How does one protect themselves from criminals? pepperspray, carrying knives with you(im in support of this because its at close range, no accidents/stray bullets), and anyother close range weapons.

Ive been hit with OC. It does not stop a determined person. According to the stats. Those that resisted with a firearm were only harmed 6% of the time. Those that resisted with a knife were hamed 49% of the time. There are fewer innocent injuries (percentage wise) from civilians using a firearm in defense than cops using one.

Think what you want. A 6'6" 230 pound man with nothing has an advantage over a 5’1” 100 pound 70 year old woman with a knife or OC spray.

Your logic is seriously flawed.

Try living in North Carolina USA ...

where EVERY COUNTY except one you can carry a fire arm openly WITHOUT a carry permit ...

... it can NOT be hidden with out a concealed carry permit ... but on your car seat - no problem so long as you are legally allowed to own fire arms ...

to buy fire arms here - you go to the Sheriffs office and request up to 5 purchase permits

they run a background check on you and so long as you still have the right to own them - they will sell you them for $5.00 each

nice and easy
