It's not the farmers' fault that their freaking dogs won't stop getting too old!

where EVERY COUNTY except one you can carry a fire arm openly WITHOUT a carry permit ...

to buy fire arms here - you go to the Sheriffs office and request up to 5 purchase permits

they run a background check on you and so long as you still have the right to own them - they will sell you them for $5.00 each

nice and easy
yeah, I'd advise against carrying a gun on your front seat, locked in your trunk, glove box, or case, out of reach would be better, granted, you could step out with your hands raised any and every time you were pulled or went through a license check, but I'd take my chances informing the officer I have a gun locked away for transport in the car, than to let him guess why it's sitting on my front seat when he walks up

First off locking a firearm in a glove box even unloaded is considered concealed carry in many states, so check your local laws (In NC it is considered Concealed).

What good does locking it in your trunk do if you are carrying for personal defense.

a few years ago I drove through a checkpoint where the police were looking for leads on a murder of a local police office who was shot in the face ...

my Glock was sitting on the front seat when the officer came to my window.
He glanced at it - asked his questions about the case they were on and NEVER said a word about it.

That's what happens when it is LEGAL to do so!

There is no need to fear the right to LEGALLY bare arm's!

Durham County is the ONLY county where it is not LEGAL to openly carry a weapon ...

Yup. I was only commenting on putting it in the glove box. Doing so down here is concealed.

I wouldn't call it the main role of a farmers rifle. Usually it would be to remove pests like fox and rabbit. Also to put down sick livestock. Which is actually very messy since the semi automatic ban, if you have a dying sheep and you want to put it out of its misery sometimes you miss the first shot and only wound it instead of killing it. This leaves you stumbing around with bolts and rounds while the poor sheep screams itself to death.

Yep, and Durham county is the first county that should require mandatory carrying.

it's not a gun free zone for criminal type's ...

It's also one of the BIGGEST Liberal strongholds in the state ... and liberals STILL don't get it ...
