So - it doesn't actually say "guns" does it.

According to your Bill of Rights then, you have the right to own a nuclear warhead? Napalm? A tank?

Do you possess land mines? You apparently have a "right" to?

Gun ownership is a Right as spelled out in the Constitution, as I have already demonstrated.

voting is a right.
Amendment 15 -

1. The right of citizens of the United States to vote shall not be denied or abridged by the United States or by any State on account of race, color, or previous condition of servitude.

Amendment 19 -

The right of citizens of the United States to vote shall not be denied or abridged by the United States or by any State on account of sex.

Nowhere does it say 'privilege'.

I have already proven that it is a right.

enough with you, you would argue about the sky being blue.
The sky is only blue sometimes. Other times it is orange, or grey...on a clear moonless night it is black.

...or, considering that document was written in the 18th century - maybe you really only have the right to bear flintlock muzzle-loading blunderbusses or such.

Why exactly do you think that document gives to the "right" to pretend to be Dirty Harry?

So you finally admit that US citizens have a 'right' to bear arms?

Yes - and the Constitution is the Supreme Law of the Land.

Why then - do you so readily dismiss Article 6 of the Constitution which allows for treaties to be US Law, when you argue that the invasion of Iraq was not illegal.

You seem to be quite arbitrary in your adoption of your Constitution BillyBob.

What do you think an "arm" is BillyBob? Do you have a nuclear weapon? Should you?

you make a very good point bugalugs. Interesting stance you take and very hard to debate it based on 18th century documents, as BB is trying to do.

+ BB isnt aware that if you are committed of a felony the priveledge of voting and gun ownership are taken away. voting isnt a right either...its conditional who gets those "rights" which make it priveledged.

Im not going to argue semantics with someone who just wants to argue.

And how about that bit in the Constitution that says that "All men are created equal"?

When you say things like:
"I agree that different races of people have different areas in which they are superior, in general. The opposite of that, of course is that there are other areas where they are inferior. It might also be that some races are more intelligent, in general, than others."

I guess you just skipped that bit and went straight to the gun part. Is that right BillyBob?
