Regulations regarding how much gunpowder can be possessed in the home are far and away different from laws regarding what type of firearm a citizen may possess.

You'll have to do better than that, I'm afraid.

Here's a hint - start with the NFA of 1934 and work backwards...

Its rather clear with quotes like "Although the terminology of “gun control” is modern, the practice of arms regulation extends back deep into Anglo-American law". Play pretend if you want, it seems to be the standard ploy

    "...Anglo-American law".

For $1.37 in loose change and a one-way bus ticket to Gary, Indiana -- explain the meaning of the word "Anglo".

We don't care about what King Igor the XVII did in Wales back in 1526 - the topic of discussion is American firearm laws, and their implementation in America amongst freemen.

As I said before, start with the NFA of 1934, and work back. Back when my grandfather was a young man, a citizen could own a Thompson machine gun, could own a silencer, could own a SBR or a SBS. The prohibition of certain types of firearms (aka: gun control) began in 1934, and has become more restrictive (read: Assault Weapons Ban) ever since.

Believe it or not these were very real gun control laws. The law and laws like it made the defensive use of a gun in the home a much less practical instrument when one considers the time required to load the gun for use. It was very much a gun control law, as a gun is not very effective without projectile and powder.

This demonstrates the ignorance of those who oppose gun ownership for self defense, the gun stays loaded and all that is required to use it is the release of a safety. This involves pushing a small button, or moving a lever a very short distance. Or in the case of my Steyr, simply rolling a dial forward slightly.

Ha, those who don't know what they are responding to should NOT be making charges about "ignorance", friend. Your knee-jerk answers are predictable in that you clearly have no idea to what you are chiming in against. I'll give you a hint:.... how old is your Steyr?

If you look at this poll sideways, it's like the gun owners are giving everyone else the finger - lol.
