LOL...pushing...ROFLMAO....maybe you should stop with pushing...less likely to be sued than for biting...maybe you could teach him to give the intruders a good pinch...pushing....ROFLMAO...

thanks...

hehe stories... i never meant it to be funny. To be more specific, im trying to train my dog to be a manstopper, i.e., "a dog possessing both the temperament and physical ability to stop a human intruder by inflicting such serious bodily harm as to render further advance physically impossible." hopefully the plentiful warnings on our property are going to keep people away anyways. (i dont seriously believe the dog has the right temperament, but ill try anyways)

so far he pushes doors open on command

attack dogs make me very nervous from a liability standpoint...unless....you have fences around your property that they can not jump over..in many ways, dogs...no matter how well trained...are like defending your property with explosives activated by motion detectors...

we have fences, and warning signs. If anybody got mauled, it would be impossible for them to prove it was our fault, as the dog doesnt leave the enclosure.

I have dogs and they work for a living...bird dogs...maybe they could point to an intruder and make lots of noise...but yeah..I am more comfortable with guns for personal defense...I love my dogs, but I wouldn't bet my life, or the lives of my loved ones, on how they would react to an unknown situation.

"but I wouldn't bet my life, or the lives of my loved ones, on how they would react to an unknown situation. "

thats why you train them. The odds of their saving your life(if necessary) when you can control them better are greatly increased. I wouldnt rely soley on dogs, though- i agree with you on that.
