The influence from all the other countries in the world that have banned guns or at least have very strict gun control is heavy on the US. A lot of people want guns outright banned.

I personally probably will never use a gun. But I'll defend the right of the second amendment vehemently.

That may require using a gun......

Give teachers guns? Oh give me a break... a school is no place for guns and what type of example does that set for students?

These school shootings are the result of social problems, parenting problems and in some cases gun store owners not following through with protocol in order to make a sale.

Nobody is suggesting the teacher keep it in plain view. However, I have no problem with that. You'd be surprised at how many people in the US carry a handgun...you just can't see them.

How about government teachers not explaining the 'Bill of Rights' properly, and using there union dues to elect democrats.

These are social problems because government schools and teachers make it that. IE} demonizing gun owners. IE} government teachers tow the anti gun line.

Fact- take guns away from honest Citizens of this Republic- you reap what you sow!
