Always be wary of someone who calls himself an expert. I have been carrying my entire life. I work with firearms for a living. It is not only my work, but my hobby. But I will never claim to be an expert.

That means it's probably a Kimber.
But it aint. Trust me I know what is in my own home.

If you are talking about her piece being a 4" then negative. Also, note the double stacked mag. That is not a Kimber Ultra Carry.

After factory grips.
It might not be an Ultra Carry, but that is definitely a Kimber. I have owned at least 10 of them, so I would know.

That's also a single stack mag, unless you meant it was just an extended mag for the reload. Colt has never made a double stacked .45. Kimber has made one, and so has Para Ordnance, but the Kimber has a polymer frame.

JLB, are you *really* trying to tell the gun owner that he doesn't know what kind of gun he owns?

Herk, don't worry about the thread hijack. It appears to be something of a lost cause anyway.

Are you honestly going to tell me that I do not know what my own wife is carrying? Are you honesty going to tell me that I do not know the after factory accessories I placed on it myself? Are you honestly going to tell me that after several thousand rounds down range, that she never glanced at the side that says Colt? Are you honestly going to tell me this?

Whats the point? Self appointed experts never listen to those that actualy own the weapon.

This could all have been avoided by having pictures of guns attached to nice shapely hips of female members, as CDP had done.

I figured you did, because of your handle. I have held a CWP since the first year they were available in Florida, and I carry every single day.

Considering I once had an entire room in my home that housed my gun collection, which was in excess of 300 pieces, I'd say I am an "expert". That's not bragging, just a fact.

You say it's a Colt, but Colts don't come equipped with all Kimber parts, as that weapon has. The sights are Kimbers. The beaver tail is Kimber. The grips are Kimber. The safety is Kimber. The slide serrations are Kimber.

I think you had better check it again.

If I were a "self appointed expert" then how would I know that there was a Kimber stainless CDP? How would I know that those are Kimber limited edition grips?

Yes, I'm honestly telling you that it would strain credibility that you would take a Colt, then put a Kimber slide, Kimber sights, Kimber safety, Kimber beavertail, and then somehow locate Kimber limited edition grips to put on it, when you could have just bought a Kimber to begin with.

You can post a pic of the gun outside of the holster, and prove me wrong.
