What if we didn't have gun control, do you really think the terrorist would've gotten away with what happened on 9/11?

Personally, I don't think the terrorist threat would be our biggest concern. I think the explosion of the crime rate would require our more immediate attention. However, I do think that if citizens were allowed to carry on planes that the terrorist plans probably wouldn't have come to fruition. the flip side to that coin, is also the increased number of hijackings that would take place, by criminals in the U.S. Also something to consider too, is the fact that people would probably end up shooting the plane up and it would crash anyway.

i really, really doubt that the terrorists could have overpowered the whole plane with boxcutters, if at least the pilot was allowed a gun. Current laws dont even allow the pilots(who are trained with guns anyways) to have a gun. what makes you think terorists would actually follow the gun laws(considering theyre terrorists in the first place?)

IMHO, i think the airliners should choose what they want on their planes. OBV they arent going to allow another of their birds to crash into a building, so it is likely they will disallow any carryon guns except for the pilot/whatever else security they want.

in florida, you heard about the hurricane, right? have you seen that 'you loot i shoot' sign they had for a little bit on national news? w/o the guns, how will these newly homeless people defend whats left of their property if they have nothing to deter looters with?

I haven't seen that sign, but I love that saying

we cant even keep pot out of the hands of anyone, those laws if enstated in that form will either not be enforced, or selectively enforced, or be fully enforced at the cost of massive police resources. Rather we should be dealing with the people who *do* evil with the tools they have rather than those who *may*, it would be a better use of our police resources at hand.

Why not keep the people that you want to keep guns from in prison, where they are not a threat to the law-abiding people of America?

After all these people committed a crime to get them in trouble and make the rest of society think of them as dangerous criminals.

If everyone had guns or weapons, do you think many people would still misuse guns? Don't you think they would get their butts kicked if they did that?

personally, i would never fly if everyone was allowed to carry on air flights.
there is to much drunken stupid behaviour as it is.
imagine how many planes would end up crashing after drunken fools shot a hole in the plane.

But see if everyone was aloud to carry a gun, just shoot him and he wouldn't do that. You don't have to kill him, just hurt him. I doubt if people know you carry, they won't cause trouble if they do they are looking for it.
