Guns do not kill people. There are absolutely no cases of guns getting liquored up on a Saturday night, walking into the local Honky Tonk and seeing some guy rubbing up against Lolita, his girlfriend, sluggging down one more tequila shot beforec drawing, and then shooting the guy.

People who are passionate about this non cause are misinformed and mislead. Is this one of the more efficient technologies for killing someone? Yes! But it requires the involvement of a person to actually kill.

"Entertainment" and "news" media have glamorized the gun as some sort of great equalizer, or means by which you can get respect if you are a low life thug who dropped out of school to sell crack at 9 years old, and yes that is a problem, but it is a media problem, not a gun problem.

I love the bumper stickers that needle these people like my all time favorite "gun control means using two hands".

If people would spend their time and efforts on trying to get people to change theit attitudes toward other people, a lot of these pet causes would take care of themselves!!!

I agree, people kill people. One would argue that if there are no guns available, then there wouldn't be any gun-related injuries or deaths, but we all know that criminals will find a way to get guns. Laws are only good if people obey them. Since they don't, the rest of us have the constitutional right to bear arms.

What about cars? I'm sure there are more people injured or killed each year because some drunk hit them with their car. Maybe we should outlaw cars. No, I don't think so!
