gang inequality poverty guns

A combination of them all.

Gangs - Obvious. Gives people sense of community and family, and reassurance and safety, while encouraging gun violence, and the abuse of fire arms.

Inequality - I think that inequality could be the deep rooted problem. The seperation and segregation of minorities and the poor into seperate classes exemplified the differences between the two social classes. These classes are expected to act and behave certain way, and follow certain examples, which most likely are not beneficial to the rest of society.

Poverty - Because of poverty, those who are growing up poor feel helpless and as if they have nothing to contribute to society. They feel that they have no future, so why even try. With no education, and barely a home, why even try?

Guns As they say, guns don't kill people. People do. However, the availability of guns supplies the guns to people who do kill with them and abuse them. As Scalia said in the SCOTUS ruling, keeping guns for self defense is constitutional and lawful, but we must keep restrictions, such as keeping away from convicts.

Violence stems from a variety of things, including all the ones that are listed. Guns are just a viable tool for the activity.

If guns didn't exist, it would be something else.

I voted 'other' because I'm not really sure.

Default A vote for guns.

I chose guns, because without guns it would just be violence. Sure, maybe there would be more "knife violence" or "blunt object violence", but the violence would still be there for all the same reasons gun violence is there.

You probably should have phrased that differently than "guns" obviously without any guns there wouldn't be gun crime.

I think "legal right to have guns" is what you're looking for.
