Cruel and Disgusting: Pain Patient Appeal Denied "Richard Paey--who suffers both multiple sclerosis and from the aftermath of a disastrous and barbaric back surgery that resulted in multiple major malpractice judgments--now receives virtually twice as much morphine in prison than the equivalent in opioid medications for which he was convicted of forging prescriptions."

Wow, people should just let drug addicts have their way so innocent people don't get in the crossfire. It makes for less casualties and drugs will probably be less popular since it's not getting as much popularity.

You think the war on drugs is insanity? Have you lost your mind or just your soul?

That was some nice left-leaning spin. Too bad you didn't mention or are not acquainted with the truth about drugs and all its monumentally destructive effects and causes. I don't really want to debate about this because the concept that the war on drugs is insane, not worth fighting or is unjust is so astronomically rediculous I will not entertain it with the waste of time in formal debate. However, I will reach out by saying the only way you could think that is either you're from a lesser culture or you plainly just don't know any better which most of the time has to do with your parents. Either way I feel sorry for you and urge you in regarding this issue's opposition to stay out of our way.

What, may I ask, is the benefit of making drugs illegal? It's basic econometrics; there is no point in outlawing the legal sale of a product if a vibrant black market already exists for the product. This is the same reason that gun control laws do not and never will work. People who think that they need chemicals to make them feel better about themselves will always get their fix; outlawing drugs only makes them have to go to much more extreme lengths to do so.

But there are so many legal drugs you can have your doctor give you anyway.....
The drug war is ludicrous it costs trillions of dollars and it hasn't solved anything. Whatever happened to freedom, doing drugs hurts no one but yourself. A prime example of why drugs should be legal is the prohibition. Crime escalated, black market money increased dramatically, and people still drank about the same quantities as before. Outlawing substances solves nothing, education and rehabilitation help. Look at tobacco a legal drug that has been on a huge downslide since commercials and knowledge of the product became more mediaized. We have teh largest prison poplulation in the world. Most of the prisoners are nonviolent drug offenders who are locked up for longer than many violent offenders. Our justice department is need of great change. |
