Obviously it's not inaccurate... if you look at the stats.

Actually, it was. You stated the gay folks were too busy working on gay marriage to tend to AIDS education, and I demonstrated that they were not.

It seems I was correct in the matter.

Does your being correct mean fewer young gay men will be contracting AIDS?

    Moot point.

No, it simply means I am correct.

Education and prevention are the key.

I am not against educating/informing youths of the consequences or prevention of AIDS.

But I dare say that in this country (US), there are few adults that are unaware of the issue. It isn't a lack of education, rather it's a lack of personal responsibility and self control, regarding promiscuous sexual behavior (leading cause).

    ...just my personal opinion.

Tell that to the 15 yr old who was just diagnosed HIV+. I'm sure it'll make him feel better to know you think you're correct.

Why? I don't know him or her and have no need to torture children.

    I am simply correct.

I believe they are aware, and it would just be a waste of money....If they have not got it by now they never will...
How many people in their own neighborhoods must die or be infected before they ''catch on''', dont you feel they have a clue by now?

How come that key has not worked for teenage pregnancies?

    http://www.minoritynurse.com/turning...ty-communities

The teen pregnancy rate in the United States peaked in 1990, Albert says, and declined every year through 2005. In those 15 years, the teen pregnancy rate dropped 37%, but those numbers have begun to creep in the other direction, according to the newest data available. Between 2005 and 2006, the pregnancy rate among teens increased a full 3%.

America has the highest teen pregnancy rate of any Western industrialized country, and within certain racial and ethnic groups, the numbers are disproportionately high. Among Hispanic/Latina teen girls in the United States, 53% get pregnant at least once before the age of 20, according to the National Campaign. Among African American teen girls, the figure is 51%; for white, non-Hispanic teens, it's 19%.

"One way to look at it is to say that more Latino and African American teens get pregnant than don't. If that isn't alarming, if that isn't a call to action, I am not sure what is," Albert says.

I am not saying ''Nothing'' should be done, but I do not believe spending Millions is the answer....a certain percentage just wont learn...or do not care...

I agree... it's not that gay men don't KNOW about AIDS. My personal opinion -- the fact that 'most' gay men have multiple sex partners added to the fact it only takes ONE careless encounter to become infected equals a very dangerous combination of probabilities. Add booze & recreational drugs and the odds are even higher.

Considering how AIDS is on the rise again, I think mature gay men should be the ones mentoring the younger generation of gay men... but unfortunately, I don't think that's possible.
